Cozy Monday

Feta Attraction (Greek To Me Mystery #1) by Susannah Hardy (Berkley Prime Crime mass market paperback, 6 January 2015).

Georgie Nikolopatos loves her job managing the Bonaparte House, a Greek restaurant located in a historic house in Bonaparte Bay, in upstate New York.

She'd never thought the house was haunted, but when her husband arranges for a television crew from Ghost Squad to investigate, she rolls with it.  Of course, she did expect him to be there to deal with them, but he mysteriously hasn't returned from a trip.

While the ghost hunters are in residence at the Bonaparte House, she visits her friend Liza's spa.  But on the boat ride there, she spots a body floating in the water, and it turns out to be the owner of Sailor's Rest, another restaurant in Bonaparte Bay.

Because Sailor's Rest is Georgie's main competitor, she (along with her mother-in-law Sophie, and her missing husband Spiro) is immediately a suspect in Dominic DiTomasso's murder.  Being a proactive sort of person, Georgie is determined to prove the innocence of herself and her family, but to do that, she has to find the real killer.

Georgie is not only proactive, she's smart, energetic, and loyal.  Her marriage may be quirky (sorry, no more info!), but she genuinely cares about Spiro and Sophie.  There's a lot of humor and a bit of slapstick in this enjoyable story, and I look forward to the continuing adventures of Georgie Nikolopatos.
